These hood decals are based on the Wisteria Livery Kit, which they are meant to be paired with.
The Wisteria livery kit design is a one of a kind creation commissioned from artist Pastele, @maepetals on Instagram. Our first artist-collaborative livery kit!
The Wisteria hood decals can be run either with the small sparkles or without for two different looks. These hood decals come as individual pieces which can be placed differently based on the hood size. When placed exactly the same as the orientation shown in the product photos, the pieces will span roughly 35". In order to fit a very small hood, some pieces can be forgone or the decals can be placed more diagonally.
INSTALLATION
It will look best if you use a utility knife or razor blade in order to cut the decals to fit to the shape of the panels you install them on. (When necessary)
Vinyl install squeegee addon available.
Install Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
This is not a vastly difficult install, but will take time and patience to place all the pieces symmetrically. You will want some masking tape on hand, in order to mock-up pieces before laying them down.
DETAILS ON VINYL FINISHES
WHITE/MATTE-BLACK: These two finishes are the best at conforming to curves and easiest to install.
CHROME/HOLO: Metallic vinyl, in general, does not conform to curves well. It is a more difficult install. These finishes scratch more easily.
GHOST: The ghost finish is a semi transparent frost-like finish. It's quite subtle, especially on lighter colored bases. This finish should be wet installed, as it looks a bit hazy at first when installed dry. With a few days time, the haze goes away. However, when wet installed, the haze is mostly mitigated and looks clear almost immediately. I suggest a ratio of 1-5, 1 part isopropyl(70%) to 5 parts water.
REFLECTIVE: It reflects light similarly to emergency vehicles graphics. This finish has limited stock. The vinyl itself is especially thick.
Specialty finishes (chrome, ghost, reflective) are especially sticky. All finishes must be removed with considerable care to avoid damage to paint. Price differences between finishes are due to material cost difference and difficulty to produce.
